Keep taxes low and balance the City’s budget. Do more with less. Just like every successful business. Be
smart; be efficient in how we govern.

Oppose changes to our Emergency Services (Fire and Police) that will diminish the ability to provide safe and
effective services.

Protect our schools and maintain our “A” rating status. We need the best teachers and the best tools.

Support community-oriented improvements such as the completion of an amphitheater; bring in a Farmers
Market; provide city-wide wireless internet.

Recruit new business and restaurants. Improve the permitting process. Reduce obstacles that make it
difficult to expand.

Complete plans for a hospital in Oviedo that was originally approved in 2004.

Support the Oviedo Marketplace by retaining and attracting key anchor stores. Promote community events
and other activities that will support our Oviedo merchants.

Offer incentives for job creation and small businesses.

Support the improvements related to our “New Downtown” as well as beautifying the current Downtown.

Support initiatives to improve City infrastructure and transportation so that we may move around the city
easily.

Support the purchase and capital Improvement of Alafaya Utilities to control current and long term costs and
improve operations.

• Previously, Matthew had to make payroll in a small
privately-owned company. Currently he prepares and
creates a multi-million dollar budget in a large, publicly-
traded organization. This gives him a unique understanding
of the issues effecting business of all sizes. Above all, it

• Over 25 years experience in residential and
commercial security, complemented by law enforcement
training, means that Matt understands the need to protect
